Everyone on Heart Photos has a page of their own, at an address like heart.photos/@yourname1234. Until today nobody could choose that address: the handle came from the first part of your email address plus four random digits, and your name came from your Google profile. As of Oct 31, 2026, that is yours to change.
Find your page
Your page shows every public photo you have added, and when you are the one looking, your private ones too. Anyone can reach it by pressing your name or avatar on one of your photos. To find it yourself, open Studio and look under Your name and handle: the link is there on every plan.
Choose your name and handle
If you pay for Premium or Max, that same section in Studio is a short form:
- Open Studio and go to Your name and handle.
- Type a Name, from 1 to 50 characters. Spaces, capitals and accents are all fine.
- Type a Handle, from 3 to 30 letters and digits. It is saved in lowercase. A few words, like "admin" and "support", are kept for the site, so nobody can pass for us.
- Press Save.
If somebody already has that handle, Studio says so and you can try another. Your new name shows on your account button right away. It also stays when you next sign in, where Google's name used to come back.
Before you change your handle
A new handle moves your page, and there is no redirect. The old address stops working, and somebody else may then take that handle. So if you have already shared your page, choose once and tell people the new address.
Who can choose
You need a paid Premium or Max plan of your own. Premium is $9.99 a month, or $8.33 a month billed yearly. Choosing is not part of the free week, and it does not come with a plan someone shares with you. Once you have chosen, the name and handle stay yours even if your plan ends, because taking a page away would break every link to it.
Two things your page does not do yet
We would rather tell you now than have you go looking. Your page lists your photos, not your galleries. And the Follow button, on a creator's page and in the panel beside a photo, keeps a record of who you follow, but following someone does not yet change what you see.
Heart Photos has a blog now
This blog is about He.art. Heart Photos has its own, which also opened today, and it answers the questions people ask about photos in general. So far you can read which image format to use, with sizes we measured on 40 real photos, and how to remove location data from a photo before you share it. A new post is planned every day, and it has its own feed.
You may also have noticed that both blogs got brighter. Every post now opens on an image, this little pasta creature included, and the list is a grid of cards.
Try it
Open Studio to see your page and your handle. Then open He.art, go to Photo studio, and make an image worth putting on it.
